St. Albans, Maine · Since 1972
On the quiet shores of Great Moose Lake, we've spent over fifty years crafting a place where the firewood is stacked, the canoes are ready, and every guest leaves with the same easy feeling they had when they arrived.
Lodging
Our cabins and lodge rooms are built from locally sourced timber, furnished with pieces that have belonged to our family for generations. None of it is fancy — but it's all honest, warm, and ready for you.
Two-bedroom log cabin with a wraparound porch, full kitchen, and stone fireplace. Sleeps six comfortably with lake views from every window.
Four private rooms in our historic lodge, each with its own character. Shared bathhouse nearby, communal dining area with homemade breakfast included.
Spacious sites nestled among the pines, each with a fire ring, picnic table, and direct path to the water. Full hookups available for RVs; tent sites on level ground.
The Camping Experience
We keep our campgrounds simple and honest. Pull in, hang your tarp, and let the lake do the rest. Our sites are spread through the woods with just enough privacy to feel like your own corner of Maine.
Each site sits among mature pines with dappled shade and a natural buffer from neighbors.
A private sandy beach and our fleet of canoes, kayaks, and a small boat — all included with your stay.
We stock firewood, coals, and basic camping gear so you can show up with nothing but a backpack.
The Lake
Great Moose Lake is 1,200 acres of clear, cold Maine water. It's deep enough for a proper swim in July, quiet enough to hear the loons call at dusk, and full of smallmouth bass if you know where to cast.
Grab a canoe or kayak and find the coves and islands that bigger boats never reach. We'll point you toward the best spots.
Smallmouth bass, pickerel, and perch are all here. Bring your own gear or borrow ours. We'll help you find the right spot for the season.
Sit on the dock. Watch the light change. Listen to the water lap against the pilings. Sometimes that's exactly the trip you need.
Plan Your Visit
We're just off Route 202, about an hour from Bangor and two hours from Portland. The road out here is the kind of drive that makes you slow down and roll the windows down.
